The Friends of Gorham’s Pond announced today that for the third year in a row they will sponsor Town-wide Christmas Caroling on Sunday Dec, 15 at 5:00pm. This year, in order to celebrate on historic Gorham’s Pond, the caroling will take place on the lawn at a private home on the Pond at 71 Goodwives River Road. Caroling will take place rain or shine.

“Caroling with the Friends of Gorham’s Pond last year was a joyful part of my holiday celebration. Caroling along the bucolic Gorham’s Pond overlooking the historic Ring’s End Bridge has quickly become a beloved Darien holiday tradition. I highly recommend all Darien residents join the caroling this year.” said Jayme Stevenson, Darien First Selectman.

The Friends of Gorham’s Pond sponsors this event to raise awareness of the need to restore this vital watershed. “Last year, despite horrible weather, we had almost 40 people. It was a remarkable experience to sing carols in the bleak, stormy weather, creating a wonderful feeling of fellowship.” said Lucia Zachowski, President of the Friends of Gorham’s Pond. “ Please join us for this special evening this year, with holiday refreshments and much good cheer.” she added.
